So, it does not really matter which Android phone you are on. For example, the process for my Samsung and Xiaomi phones is the same. And the process has these steps:

  • Open the phone app on your Android phone.

On Android, you have the option to use the default voicemail app or the app offered by Google. For the default app, you can find it in your phone’s dialer app. Open it and press and hold the “1” button. If you have visual voicemail enabled, go to the phone app, select Visual Voicemail, and tap on manage voicemails.

Regarding third-party voicemail apps, the Google Voice app is the best option. If you have it installed, you can find it in the app library of your phone. Opening it will offer you different options related to your voicemail.

  • Get into the Voicemail section.
  • Press Voicemail greeting.
  • Tap on the three dots next to the recording you want to use.
  • Press on Set as active.
